Challenge
As a startup company, Forest Data Network needed to build an audience from scratch for its new data product. Journalists by trade, they chose to engage the market with industry-specific news content and a quarterly email newsletter.
Solution
Astuteo added a news section and newspaper-like components to the site. We designed an email newsletter template in Mailchimp, and developed sign-up forms and other list building tools to attract a growing audience of foresters.
Equally important to the timber pricing reports sold by Forest Data Network is their aggregation of industry news and niche market reporting. This news component, called Timber Track, includes both articles on the website and a quarterly email newsletter.
We took advantage of multiple Craft CMS plugins and Mailchimp to manage user communications – automating requests for sample reports, newsletter sign-ups, and the delivery of both email and physical postcards.
